Myra Lee Bottoms, 80, of Danville, passed away May 22, 2024 at her home. She was born January 20, 1944 in Ohio to the late William Pryse and Myrtle Johnson Pryse. Myra was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Bottoms.
Myra was a homemaker and a member of First Christian Church. She loved to quilt and loved flowers and gardening. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed spending time with her Bunko Quilting Group. Myra also enjoyed spending time with family in her beloved small town of Beatyville, where she regularly attended the Woolly Worm Festival. Family was her pride and joy and she loved being a “Nanny”.
Surviving is a son, John Bottoms (Debbie) in Danville; a daughter, Tonja Bottoms of Lawrenceburg; and a grandaughter, Nicole Record (Brandon) of Danville.
She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, James Pryse.
Funeral services will be held at 7pm Thursday, May 23, 2024 at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home with Minister Jim Cooper officiating. Visitation will be from 5pm until funeral on Thursday night, May 23, 2024. A private graveside service will be held on Friday, May 24, 2024 at Camp Nelson National Cemetery.
