Nancy Smith, 77, of Danville, Kentucky, entered into heavens gates with open arms on August 8, 2024 in Lexington, Kentucky. She was born on September 18, 1946 in Lebanon, Virginia to the late Glenn and Annie Clark. She is preceded in death by her husband, Johnny B. Smith.
Nancy was a talented florist for many years, owning Smith Floral Gallery in Lebanon, Virginia and Greenleaf Florist in Danville, Kentucky. She loved to dance and play bingo. She adored her family, was so full of life and was lovingly called Moo Moo by her grandchildren.
Surviving are her daughters, Missy Smith (Steve Spoonamore) of Stanford and Crystal Johanson (Nathan) of Danville; grandchildren, Stephanie Spoonamore-Fiala (Will), Madison Spoonamore, Jocelyn Johanson, and Eden Johanson; and companion Randy Phillips.
Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings, John Clark, Peggy Honaker, Florine Cook, Cecil Clark, and Bill Clark.
Funeral services will be 11am Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home with Pastor George Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Danville Memorial Gardens. Visitation will from 6-8pm on Monday, August 12, 2024 at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Steve Spoonamore, Nathan Johanson, Will Fiala, and Kellis Poynter.
