Olie Ellen Galloway, 99, of Junction City, passed away January 26, 2022 at her home. She was born on November 28, 1922 to the late Mack and Nora Clem. Ellen was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Lee Galloway.
Ellen worked for an aircraft carrier manufacturing company during WW II in Cincinnati, Ohio and then retired from Corning in Danville after 30 years. She loved dancing and music. Ellen collected glassware and loved her family dearly. She was a member of the Ft. Logan Church of Christ.
Surviving is a son, Jeffery Carl Galloway (Carolyn) of Junction City, grandchildren, Lee Ann Watson (Tim Peavyhouse) of Junction City, Jeffery Galloway, Jr. of Junction City, Darren Galloway of Danville, Tammy King (Gary) of Danville, numerous great and great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by husband, parents, a son, Mack Lee Galloway, brothers, Woodrow Clem and Sheby Clem, sisters, Ola Mae Sinkhorn, Delcie Belcher, Inez Kidd and Thelma Richardson, and grandchildren, Amanda Galloway, Judy Wallace, William Galloway, and Dwayne Galloway.
Funeral services will be 1pm Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home with Bro. Wayne Galloway officiating. Burial in Cream Ridge Cemetery in Junction City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7pm Friday, January 28, 2022 at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Darren Galloway, Chris Smith, Keith Richardson, Donnie Conatser, Michael Sinkhorn and John Crain.
