Patricia Barnes

Patricia “Pat” Elaine Jones Barnes, 81, passed away peacefully at home in Lexington, KY on August 14, 2024.
Pat was born December 3, 1942 in Jamestown, KY.  

Patricia was a graduate of Bate High School. She was employed by Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in the dietary department and also at the University of KY Medical Center as an Aide in the ER for 16 years. She was a member of Second Street Christian Church in Danville, KY.

Pat enjoyed simple pleasures such as The Home Shopping Network and watching The View.

Proceeded in death by parents, Jesse and Data Jones, and sister, Beverly Jean Penman. Pat is survived by her devoted husband of 50 years, Thomas Lee Barnes, and loving son, Keith Jones, and grandson, Keith Amari Jones. Pat is also survived by three siblings, Everette Daniel Jones (Josie), Lexington, KY, Denise Jones Berry, Frankfort, KY, and Christopher Jones, Lexington, KY, a devoted niece, Jessica Key and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at a Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in Hilldale Cemetery in Danville, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until service time on Tuesday. 

Pallbearers will be Chris Jones, Eddie Barnes, Shae Barnes, Lamont Key, and Donyale Holloman.
