Ramona Hinkle

Ramona Hinkle, 92, of Danville, passed away on January 22, 2025, in Stanford, Kentucky. She was born in Boyle County on December 2, 1932, to the late Charlie and Flossie Pendygraft Phillips. Ramona was preceded in death by her loving husband, John E. Hinkle. 

Ramona was a loving mother to her sons. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They all brought her great joy, and she loved it when they came to visit. She loved to watch old westerns on TV and was an avid UK fan. She retired from American Greetings in Danville, Ky. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Danville, Ky. She will be missed greatly and remembered for her love of talking. 

Ramona is survived by her three sons, Charles Hinkle of Danville, Lawrence Hinkle (Sharon R.) of Lancaster, and Clyde Hinkle (Sharon U.) of Danville; Grandchildren, Chris Hinkle (Angie), Emily Fain (James), Chad Hinkle, James J.B. Hinkle (Danielle), April Hinkle Benedict (Walter) and Jason Hinkle (Tonya); Great grandchildren, Blake Durham, Andrew Durham, Will Hinkle, Heather Hinkle, John Hinkle, Mariah Atchley, Keagan Hinkle, Kelsea Hinkle, Kingston Hinkle, Trevor Thompson, Hope Thompson Niklarz and Jason Jr. Hinkle.

Ramona was also preceded in death by a sister, Charlene Sargent.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, January 28, 2024, at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Danville Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be on Monday, January 27, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home. 

Pallbearers will be Trevor Thompson, Blake Durham, Drew Durham, Keagan Hinkle, Will Hinkle, Jr. Hinkle and John Hinkle.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Hope Niklarz, Kelsea Hinkle, Heather Hinkle, and Mariah Atchley.
