Rev. Charles White

Rev. Charles Nelson White, 75, of Danville, passed away October 9, 2019 at his home. He was born on August 28, 1944 in Boyle County to the late Nelson and Nettie Conner White. Charles is survived by his loving wife, Margaret Pike White. 

He retired from ATR after 28 years and was in the ministry for 24 years, including pastoring Trinity Tabernacle Church for 12 years and was an evangelist after leaving pastoring.

Along with his wife, Margaret, he is survived by two daughters, Shelia VanHook (Tim) of Vanceburg and Lesa Moore (Allen) of Gravel Switch; grandchildren, Laticia Crouch (Rodney), Tabatha Carmicle (Chris), Brandie VanHook, Joshua VanHook, Joseph VanHook; and great grandchildren, Cody Crouch, Micah Crouch, Cayden Crouch, Sawyer Crouch, Charlee Carmicle, Caleb Carmicle, Conner Carmicle and Catie-Ann Carmicle.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Angelia Nettie White.

Funeral services will be 2PM Saturday, October 12, 2019 at Trinity Tabernacle/Olde Path Holiness Church with Bro. Roger Huff and Reverends Tim VanHook and Rodney Crouch officiating. Burial will follow at Danville Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Friday, October 11, 2019 at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home from 5-9PM and Saturday, October 12, 2019 from 12-2PM at the church.

Pallbearers will be Tim VanHook, Allen Moore, Rodney Crouch, Chris Carmicle, Jesse Pike and Randy Storm.

Honorary pallbearers will be Joshua VanHook, Joseph VanHook, Cody Crouch, Micah Crouch, Charlee Carmicle and Caleb Carmicle.
