Rick Conkwright, 69, of Danville KY passed away peacefully, March 28, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loved ones. Rick leaves behind his loving wife of 48 years, Shirley Perdue Conkwright.
Rick was a truck driver for over 30 years, and retired from Yellow Trucking in Lexington KY. Ricky was an avid fisherman and loved being on the water every chance he got. Rick was a big UK fan and never missed a game. Ricky never met a stranger and loved to make everyone he met laugh. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren whom he loved very much.
Ricky was preceded in death by his parents, Albert "Doc" Bowman and Emma Dearing Bowman. One brother, Darrell Bowman.
Rick leaves behind two sons, Bryan (Sarah) Conkwright of Lexington and Jeremy (Amber) Conkwright of Stanford. Six grandchildren, Shelby, Ashlynn, Ruby, Henry, Jackson, and Jase Conkwright. Two brothers, Randy (Debbie) Conkwright and Gary Bowman. A brother in law Jeff (Kim) Perdue of Nicholasville. Three nephews, Jake Conkwright, Jeffrey Perdue, and Zachary Perdue.
Family friends and others whose lives Rick has touched are invited to reminisce, grieve, support each other, and of course just chat at his visitation on Saturday April 5, 2025 at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral home from 11 am to 1pm.
