Roger Lenington

Roger Dale Lenington, 73, passed away Monday, March 9, 2026 at his home in Danville. He was born on November 11, 1952 in Danville, Kentucky to the late Neal and Pearl “Cissy” Engle Lenington. He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Diana Lenington. 

Roger retired from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet after 34 years as an Engineering Technologist and attended Carpenters Christian Church. He enjoyed UK sports, playing golf after retiring and entertaining at his home. He loved to grill and cook for his family. Roger dearly loved his family and being Papa to his grandchildren. 

Surviving are his children, Jody Dale Lenington (Carin) of Danville, Amanda Schraut of Omaha, Nebraska, Travis McCrary (Dana) of Nicholsville, and Jessica Marie Lenington of Danville; seven grandchildren, Olivia Schraut, Addison Stumbo, Samuel Schraut, Levi Lenington, Paisley McCrary, Ella Lenington, and Zoey Stumbo; and a sister, Donna McCloud (Norman) of Indiana. 

Funeral services will be 7pm Monday, March 16, 2026 at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Warren officiating. Visitation will be Monday night from 4pm until the service time. Burial will be 11am Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at Parksville Cemetery.
