Ronald “Ron” David Woodward, 66, of Jamestown, passed away April 21, 2021 at his home. He was born on January 27, 1955 in Middletown, Ohio to the late Robert and June Woodward.
Ron worked for 42 years with Trane Company as a forklift operator, and retired in 2015. His wife, children, and grandchildren were his entire world. He was an avid boater, and enjoyed spending as much time as possible with his family and friends on Lake Cumberland. He loved being the Park Manager at Cumberland Cove Resort and spending many nights around a campfire with his family and friends making priceless memories. Ron never met a stranger, and was always willing to do anything for anyone in need.
Surviving are his loving wife, Janet Woodward, a son, Jason Woodward (Sylvia) of Danville, daughters, Ashley Woodward of Danville and Brittany Woodward of Danville, a brother, Bobby Woodward of Hustonville, grandchildren, Donovan Cooley, Landon Woodward and Cameron Woodward, and many nieces and nephews.
Ron is preceded in death by a brother, Randall Woodward, and a sister, Regina Nickles.
A Celebration of Life will be held May 2, 2021 from 2-5pm at the Lions Club in Harrodsburg, Kentucky.
