Ruby King

Ruby Louise Shepperson King, 83, of Parksville, passed away October 18, 2022 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. She was born October 26, 1938 in Casey County, Kentucky to the late Clarence and Katie Maddox Shepperson. She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Calvin King.

Ruby loved to garden and her flowers. She loved reading the bible and was faithful to her church, Pleasant Run Baptist Church. Ruby adored her family and they were her life.

She is survived by three sons, Donnie Ray King of Boyle County, Johnny Darrell King (Laura) of Parksville, and Mark Jeffrey King of Parksville; two daughters, Carolyn Marie Murphy (Johnny) of Stanford and Rebecca Mae Crowe (Jay) of Parksville; a sister, Dorothy Mae Brown of Edinburgh, Indiana; grandchildren, Tracy King, Frances Neal, Kevin King, Brent Cornett, Dustin Cornett, and Katie Crowe and great-grandchildren, Hannah, Bradley, KJ, Kearstin, Austin, Kadence, Reyna, Emera, Millie Rose, and Lilah Raye.

Ruby is preceded in death by her parents and a son, David Allen King.

Funeral services will be 11am Friday, October 21, 2022 with Bro. Junior Fields officiating. Burial will follow in Danville Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5-8pm on Thursday, October 20, 2022.
Pallbearers will be KJ King, Jay Crowe, Kevin King, Bradley Elder, Brent Cornett, Dustin Cornett and Johnny Murphy.
