Shirley Poppas

Shirley Poppas, 58 of Danville, passed away Saturday, June 19, 2021 at her home. She is survived by her husband Steven Bruce Poppas. 
Shirley was born on March 19th, 1963 in Lexington, KY to parents Ethel "Louise" Bruetsch Heiss and William G. Heiss. 

She was a former employee of UK Hospital. Shirley was an avid camper and enjoyed hiking in the Gorge with family, friends and faithful dog Zoey. 

In addition to her husband and mother, she is also survived by sisters Julie McQuinn (Jeff) of Burgin and Beverly Heiss of Lexington; nieces, Lindsey Poppas, Hanna Poppas, Kaitlin McQuinn and Faith McQuinn; nephews, Ryan Rousch and Luke Heiss; and her dog Zoey. She was preceded in death by her father, William G. Heiss and a brother, Jeff Heiss.

A private Family Service will be held at a later date.
