Stanley Kelly, 87, of Harrodsburg, passed away October 12, 2023 in Wilmore, Kentucky. He was born on May 7, 1936 in Harlan, Kentucky to the late Ross and Eunice Robinson Kelly. Stanley is preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Stevens Kelly.
Stanley was a proud veteran of the United States Army and was of the baptist faith. He was a skilled stone mason for many, many years. He restored over 100 historic homes throughout his career, including Shaker Village, Liberty Hall, Farmington, Locust Grove, Orlando Brown House, just to name a few. He was an avid hunter of quail and grouse.
Surviving are two sons, Harlan Clay Kelly (Tina) and Monte Ross Kelly (Diana), both of Harrodsburg and a daughter, Lisa Chandler (Jim) of Danville; a sister, Kelma Johnson (Ray) of Danville; grandchildren, Joseph Chase Cunningham (Rhonda), Justin Ray Kelly (Heather), Jackson Ross Kelly, Hunter Clay Kelly (Brooklynn), Morgan Trace Kelly, Travis Lane Kelly( Kaylee), and Colton Lee Kelly; and great-grandchildren, Jaden Kelly, Aviana Cunningham, Ali Kelly, and Ainslee Cunningham.
Funeral services will be 1pm Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home with Bro. Joe Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be from 5-8pm on Monday, October 16, 2023 at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
