Thelma Gibson Obituary

Thelma Gibson, 78, of Perryville, passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at her home. She was born on November 15, 1943 in Orange County, California to the late George and Thelma Sinsabauth Gomas. She is survived by her loving husband, Doyle.

Thelma was an office manager for Lowes for 30 years and was a member of Perryville United Methodist Church.

In addition to her husband, Thelma is survived by a son, Kris Stines of Mercer County; a step daughter Dara Gibson (Jason) of North Carolina; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Thelma was preceded in death by a daughter, Debra Jones; a step son, Derek Gibson; two brothers, Walter Haddlock and Sonny Haddlock; and a sister, Georgia Simmons.

Funeral Services will be held at 1 PM on Saturday July 9, 2022 at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Rollins officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Perryville. Visitation will be from 10 AM until the service time at the Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Bruce Gibson, Jacob Spear, Bill Newson, Barry Spurlin, Ron Mitchell and Kris Jones.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to Heritage Hospice or The Alzheimer's Association.
