Timothy Wood

Timothy G. Wood, 70, of Garrard County, passed away on Friday, July 17, 2026, at his home. He was born in Elmira, New York, on October 6, 1955, to Joyce Vandusen Wilcox of Horseheads, New York, and the late George Wood. Timothy is survived by his loving wife of nearly 50 years, Maxine Wood.

Timothy dedicated hard work and commitment to BorgWarner in Ithaca, New York for many years. He was a devoted Green Bay Packers and New York Yankees fan. An avid outdoorsman, Timothy loved hunting and spending countless days fishing from his boat. He also enjoyed golfing, bowling, and competing in horseshoe tournaments with his son, Shawn.

Timothy is also survived by a son, Shawn T. Wood (Ashley) of New York; a daughter, Jennifer Terry (Jason) of Lancaster; two brothers, Jeff Wood (Lori) of Richmond, Virginia, and David Wood (Kathy) of North Carolina; three sisters, Debbie Blevins of Virginia, Gayle Gardner (Doug), and Dyanna Crane both of New York; grandchildren, Grant B. Morrell, David Mason Terry, Shayne Mace, Blake Wood, Cade Terry, Kaleb Terry, and Kaitlyn Wood.

Timothy was also preceded in death by two sons, Shawn Michael and Matthew Timothy Wood; and a brother, Tommy Wood. 

A celebration of life will be held in New York at a later date.
