William Cox Obituary

William Cox, 75, of Forkland, Kentucky passed away at his home on December 15, 2024. He was born on June 27, 1949 and lived a life filled with love, family, and hard work. 

William was married to the love of his life, Janet Pevley Cox, for 56 wonderful years. Together, they built a legacy of love and devotion, raising two children: James Cox (Vickie) and Tina Reardon (Jeremy) and three sisters, Lavern Rice, Beulah Mae Rice, and Shirley Westerfield. 
 

He was a proud Papaw to eight grandchildren: Ashley (Cody) Phillips, Brittany (Chase) Broach, Casey Wilson, Dre’ (Michelle) Cox, Devon (Brittney) Cox, Dylan West, Kimberly West, and Ashley Reardon. His family continued to grow, blessing him with fourteen cherished great-grandchildren: James Phillips, Creed Phillips, Martha-Faye Broach, Myles Carroll, Annzly Carroll, Lynnie Cox, Keeston Cox, Shaelyn Cox, Kyson Cox, Tristan Love, Konnar West, Darren Patterson, Kerrigan Patterson, and Issac Moore. 
 

William was a farmer and one of the finest mechanics in the community. His skills, wisdom, and work ethic were admired by all who knew him. He took great pride in his craft and loved helping others, always lending a hand to neighbors and friends in need. 
 

Above all, William was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose family meant the world to him. He will be deeply missed by his loved ones and all who had the honor of knowing him. 
 

Private family services will be held.
