William "Bill" Leonard

William "Bill" Leonard, 92, of Boyle County, passed away Thursday, November 9, 2023 at Grandview Nursing and Rehab Center in Campbellsville, KY. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Louise.

Bill was born on January 15, 1931 in Boyle County, KY to the late Fred and Mary Jane Hill Leonard.

He was a member of First Baptist Church in Danville. Bill sang in a quartet for many years called the "Gospel Tones" where they traveled to many churches. He learned by ear to play the piano and guitar at an early age. 

Bill is survived by a best friend of 20 years, Carol Joyce Becker of Campbellsville; a brother, Ralph Leonard of Oklahoma; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with his wife and parents, Bill was preceded in death by siblings, Fred Jr., Archie, Horace, Daniel, Myrtle, and Mary.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home. 

Visitation will be 11:00 am until service time.

Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Blake Mann, Fred Leonard, Steve Stine, Kevin Greer, Robert Leonard, and Ricky Hourigan.
