William Ratliff

William “Joe” Ratliff, 79, of Boyle County, passed away Saturday, January 3, 2026 at his home. He was born on December 25, 1946 in Boyle County, Kentucky to the late Dewey and Isa Pike Ratliff. Joe is survived by his loving wife, Judy Noe Ratliff. 

Joe was a lifelong farmer and a member of North Rolling Fork Baptist Church. 

Surviving is a son, Billy Joe Ratliff (Crystal) of Gravel Switch; daughter, Judy “Lynn” Orberson (Steve) of Gravel Switch; grandchildren, Heather Orberson, Joey Orberson, Jesse Orberson, Dakota Ratliff, Hunter Stevens, Kelly Stevens, Whitney Webb, and Elaina Stevens and nine great-grandchildren. 

He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Roy Ratliff. 

Funeral services will be 11am Thursday, January 8, 2026 at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home with Bro. Michael Wright officiating. Burial will follow at Danville Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 from 5pm-7pm at the funeral home. 

Pallbearers will be Joey Orberson, Jesse Orberson, Dakota Ratliff, John Whitlock, Danny Noe and Bob Gooch. 

Honorary pallbearers will be Rex Whitlock, Randy Douglas, and his great-grandchildren.
